With no specific target audience in mind, the designers have crafted a home that appeals to individuals seeking a comfortable and visionary living space. Each public area within the mansion possesses its own independent field, despite being part of an open area. This unique approach not only creates a sense of privacy but also establishes a connection with the exterior surroundings, transforming the mansion into a secret base that can be shared with friends in the city.
The design of the Artistic Private Mansion incorporates a range of materials and techniques to bring the vision to life. Wooden elements, such as the ceiling, furniture, and cabinets, infuse the space with warmth and humanity. Marble, on the other hand, takes center stage as the material for the television main wall and the dining room wall, creating a focal point that exudes elegance. By incorporating mirrors and wooden accents into the marble design, the designers have successfully softened the heavy feel of the material, resulting in a visually stunning and multi-layered space.
With an interior space spanning approximately 70 feet, the Artistic Private Mansion serves as both a design sample and a potential living space for future owners. The design focuses on maximizing the use of space, enhancing its advantages, and modifying any abrupt structural elements. The result is a seamless integration of the environment and interior design, invoking a sense of harmony and artistic atmosphere.
The planning of the public areas within the mansion is carefully executed to take advantage of the surrounding vistas. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are aligned on the same axis, creating a sense of continuity and flow. The absence of physical partitions is compensated by the use of door arches, furniture, and lighting design, which define the boundaries of each space. The meticulous attention to detail, including the choice of materials, colors, and lighting, adds depth and layers to the visual experience, infusing the space with an artistic ambiance.
The Artistic Private Mansion was completed in May 2017 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design process involved extensive research and exploration of modern lifestyles and preferences. The designers aimed to create a living space that not only meets the basic demands of residents but also provides a comfortable and visually stimulating environment. The incorporation of an Origami-like three-dimensional ceiling with stone veins, reminiscent of Le Clos du Caillou wine village in Cotes du Rhone, pays homage to the French nature style and adds a touch of elegance to the overall design.
Overcoming creative, technical, and research challenges, the designers successfully transformed the large open space into a generous and visually abundant mansion. The selection of natural patterned materials and the careful presentation of the living and dining room facades were particularly time-consuming and required meticulous attention to detail.
The Artistic Private Mansion has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. This prestigious award acknowledges the incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology, and celebrates the contribution of the design to improving the quality of life.
